At Pointworx, we are committed to delivering exceptional survey engineering solutions by leveraging advanced surveying technologies and state-of-the-art structural monitoring sensors. Our founder's active involvement and dedication ensure a personal touch on every project, allowing us to closely collaborate with our clients while possessing the resources to complete large-scale endeavors.
Founded in 2022, Pointworx was born from our founder’s innovative approach to construction and engineering surveys, which quickly caught the attention of industry clients. Our team uses real-time sensor monitoring for tall and super-tall buildings, providing instant online reports. By integrating GPS with inclinometer sensors, we ensure precise control of the building centerline during vertical construction. Today, Pointworx continues to lead the way in cutting-edge survey engineering, offering unparalleled expertise and dedication to every job.
Structural monitoring by an engineering surveyor involves precisely observing and measuring a structure's performance over time to ensure its safety and integrity. This process includes using various tools and techniques to detect movement, deformation, or stress within the structure. The goal is to identify potential issues early, allowing timely maintenance or intervention to prevent failures and extend the structure's lifespan.
This survey involves the precise measurement and layout of a construction site to guide the building process according to design plans. This type of survey includes establishing reference points, aligning structures, and ensuring that various elements such as foundations and utilities are positioned accurately. We monitor progress, verify dimensions, and ensure compliance with design specifications and regulations. This survey is crucial for maintaining structural integrity, ensuring safety, and optimizing the efficiency of construction projects.
Also known as 3D laser scanning, involves using laser technology to capture detailed and accurate measurements of objects or environments. The point cloud represents the scanned area in three dimensions, allowing for precise modeling and analysis. Laser scanning is used in various fields such as architecture, construction, and archaeology for tasks like creating detailed as-built drawings, monitoring structural deformations, and documenting complex geometries.
This survey involves the measurement and mapping of a site to support the design, planning, and construction of infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, and buildings. This survey focuses on the excavation, movement, and grading of the earth to prepare the land for construction. It includes tasks like calculating volumes of cut and fill, and establishing precise land elevations. We ensure that the earthworks are executed according to design specifications, optimizing stability while minimizing costs and environmental impact.
This survey is a detailed and accurate mapping of the natural and man-made features of a land area. It involves measuring the elevation, contour, and positions of these features using tools such as total stations, GPS, and drones. The resulting topographic maps or 3D models depict the terrain's shape and include elements like hills, valleys, trees, buildings, and roads. These surveys are essential for planning and design in construction, land development, and environmental management, providing critical information for engineers, architects, and planners.
Roque brings 25 years of expertise in construction and engineering surveying. Starting his career in the Philippines, he specialized in cadastral, drone, and hydrographic surveys, along with various infrastructure projects. In 2007, Roque transitioned to the Middle East, where he excelled as a Land Surveyor for Laing O’Rourke in Abu Dhabi and later led large-scale infrastructure and engineering projects in Qatar, such as a 32-kilometer micro-tunneling project for Doha North Sewerage system and Hamad Medical City Fit-out project for both Korean engineering company.
Roque's leadership skills shone through when he was appointed head of the survey department for the KAPSARC project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, shortly after joining. His innovative approach led to the development of bespoke survey software for high-profile projects like the ITHRA steel tube cladding in Dhahran and the New National Bank of Kuwait Headquarters in Kuwait City.
Relocating to Auckland, New Zealand, Roque worked with Survey Group Ltd., managing and supervising major projects including the Seascape project, Wakefield Street Student Accommodation, Macleans College extension, and Auckland International Airport enabling works and many more. His innovative methods in real-time building monitoring with sensors and GPS earned him a strong reputation, leading clients to seek his expertise for the tallest residential building in Auckland.
Roque’s dedication and cutting-edge techniques culminated in the founding of Pointworx, where he continues to drive advancements in survey engineering.

TE KAHA NEW STADIUM
Central Christchurch, New Zealand
The stadium is designed to reinvigorate the city’s cultural and sporting landscape.
Capacity: 30,000 seats for sports events, expandable to 36,000 for concerts.
Design: Fully enclosed with a fixed roof made partly of ETFE, a transparent material that allows sunlight to support turf growth while shielding spectators from the elements.
Our role: 3D laser scanning, point-cloud processing, and as-built reporting.
At Pointworx Survey Limited, we achieved highly accurate 3D laser scanning entirely cloud to cloud—no targets needed! We captured point clouds with a mean error of just 2.6 mm and 2.9 mm across two sets of circular steel structures, ensuring precise alignment and quality control for complex industrial projects.
Precision and efficiency at its best!
